Shipping and Delivery
We are now offering a free upgrade to express post shipping (only for orders less than 500g)
The Animal Pharmacy offers Free Express Shipping Australia-wide on all orders that weigh less than 500gm and are over the order value of $150.00. Additional shipping costs for bulky goods , cold chain goods or priority delivery are paid by the customer. *Please note: Free Shipping does not apply to cold chain shipping.
Small orders (less than 500g) and under $150 in order value incur a flat rate shipping charge of $8.95. For larger orders, shipping costs are calculated on distance and weight (leaving Sydney) and a quote can be obtained in the shopping cart prior to checkout. The weight limit for Australia Post is 22kg and orders that weigh more than this cannot be shipped. We recommend placing multiple smaller orders to work around this problem.
All orders that require Cold Chain Shipping are sent by Express Post in an insulated Styrofoam box with an ice brick/s depending on small or large esky box. Cold Chain Shipping is only allowed for postcodes in the Express Network. These orders will only be shipped Monday to Wednesday to avoid parcels sitting in transit over the weekend should there be unforeseeable delays.
We can deliver to all addresses in all States and Territories of Australia.
We only send refrigerated items within the Australia Post Express Network, to ensure items remain cold on delivery. If you live in a regional/remote area and you require cold chain shipping, please contact The Animal Pharmacy via email support@theanimalpharmacy.com.au or by phone - (02) 8599 9759 to obtain a courier quote.
Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally
All orders are dispatched via Australia Post. Every parcel is uniquely barcoded and trackable online. Parcels are delivered from Monday to Friday, generally between 8AM-6PM. You will receive a tracking code via email to keep track of your delivery.
Your options as to how you would like your order shipped are listed below:
- eParcel (regular post)
- eParcel Express (priority post)
- Refrigerated/Cold Chain
Insurance TransitCover can be purchased for each of these three options.
We know you want your order fast, so we do our utmost to process your order as quickly as possible. Our goal is to have orders dispatched within 24 hours of being placed.
We cannot guarantee that all items in our store are in stock and available to dispatch the same day. If items are not in stock, it may take up to 2 business days to dispatch your order. If you are under significant time pressure to receive your order, please contact us to check stock levels prior to placing your order.
eParcel
For metro areas your order will generally arrive within 2 to 4 business days, for rural areas this may take up to 7 business days.
eParcel Express
For metro areas your order will generally arrive the next business day. Rural areas may still take up to 7 business days, but should arrive sooner than they would with regular post.
By default, a signature is required on delivery. If no one is available to accept delivery, the item will be kept secure at the post office until you are available to collect it. Please contact us if you would like to give Australia Post authority to leave the parcel at your address.
We recommend choosing insurance (TransitCover), especially if orders are over $100. Insurance covers for loss, damage and stolen parcels. It does not cover for delays in delivery. It is very important to understand for cold chain/refrigerated shipments there is inherent risk and TransitCover will not cover any damage due to delayed delivery. The Animal Pharmacy will not cover any claim, replacement or compensation for Cold Chain damage, nor for any other damage claim in posting. If TransitCover is not chosen, we will not be liable under any circumstances for any loss or damage, whether direct or consequential, arising from events beyond our control. Australia Post does not accept liability for delay in delivery or damage to goods that may result from delayed delivery (even if TransitCover is chosen).
Yes, in-store pickup/Click and Collect is available for customers in Sydney. Our address is Shop 2, 3 Julius Avenue, North Ryde NSW 2113. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a SMS text and email advising when your order is ready to be picked up.
By law prescription medication cannot be re-sold after they have left the pharmacy premises. As such, refunds are not available for unused medicines once they have been supplied by the pharmacist and dispatched. Please take this into consideration when deciding on the quantity of medication to order, as orders of medication cannot be cancelled once they have been supplied by the pharmacist and dispatched.

We can ship refrigerated products, however before placing the order you must agree to the following terms and conditions:
- You understand and accept the risk for potential delays to shipping that are beyond the control of The Animal Pharmacy.
- You understand and accept that The Animal Pharmacy will not replace any refrigerated products due to delays in shipping that may or may not affect the viability of this product.
- You understand and accept that there are inherent risks involved in shipping refrigerated products which may affect the efficacy of this product.
- You understand and accept that Shipping Insurance offered by The Animal Pharmacy does not cover for delays to shipment, only if the shipment is confirmed as lost or damaged in transit.
- You understand and accept that Australia Post does not provide refrigerated shipping and that parcels must be accepted at your address. If they are not accepted, they will be brought to a post office or depot and most likely will not be stored in a refrigerated area. All refrigeration is provide by The Animal Pharmacy and is only internal in the parcel.
